In a country where war and darkness have overshadowed life for years, where they want our voices silenced and our dreams caged, I still stand. No one can take away my thirst for knowledge, my love for freedom, or my hope for tomorrow. Today I want to remember those who inspire me and thousands of Afghan girls. I thank Kubra Mohammadi and Shakar Dokht Jafari—women who continue to work tirelessly for us. They are like shining lights from afar, reminding us that we can still go on. I also thank the Delaram and EBA organizations, which stand with us like caring mothers and kind sisters. They have taught us that even if everything is taken from us, no one can take away our spirit of perseverance and resilience. I continue because I refuse to let my silence become chains around my sisters. I fight not with guns but with the power of knowledge and learning. I am an Afghan girl whose spirit can never be broken. I try, I write, I learn, and I stand so that one day the daughters of this land may breathe in freedom.
I am an Afghan Girl
